Lost My Lumia 800 to My Dad- Awkward.

So this is a tad bit awkward, a couple weeks ago when I was in Chicago (around the time I got my stormtrooper) my dad came and asked for a spare phone to use his T-Mobile sim on (he carries an S2 and an iPhone 4) so i gave him my Cyan Lumia 800 that was sitting in my bag ignored after I had gotten my Stormtrooper.

After setting it up and showing him how simple the tiles were and pinning myself and all our family to the start screen he went on his way... I never saw the phone again. I'm no really sure where it is as he's not using it (that was only temporary) and I feel it would be bad taste to ask him for it, so I'm basically back to one WP. #FirstWorldProblems

Also if anyone in Chicago finds a Lumia 800 forgotten in a hotel room somewhere let me know please.

Lumia 900s Still Selling Strong- Cyan Case Sold Out Online

If this is any sign of how well the Lumias are selling in the US; the online At&t store has the Cyan Blue case for the 900 as "Out of Stock" I'm not sure what their stock is in the first place; but anything sold out after well over a month from launch must be a good sign right?

Conspiracy Theory: Lumia 900 Has A Mystery Platform

If anyone follows me on twitter (which I doubt)- there's a theory I've been toying with a while now which is basically that the Lumia 900 will get a certain set of updates (read: Apollo) that won't be available to the other Lumias (mainly 800 & 710)- although there would be no reason for them not to get the same set of updates it could all come down to marketing (900 = US Market = Special Treatment) plus the fact that a case could be made that the 900 is Newer and is the flagship phone. Regardless The Screenshot above while not proving anything solid does open up the questions a bit, why isn't the platform for the Lumia 900 posted as "Windows Phone Mango 7.5" As it is for both the Lumia 710 & 800?? I'll let you guys fill in the blanks.

Almost 50K Phones Smoked by WP

 

 Well isn't this awesome news; the Windows Phone Facebook page just updated their cover photo to the image above; a whopping 46thousand phones smoked by WP, I'm seriously at a loss of words- I knew that the WP campaign was big, but I never expected them to have done more than 5 thousand challenges, let alone ten times that. 

On the other hand it feels great to have been one of the 588 people who actually one (although i didn't get a laptop- only a 100 eurors).

here's a really neat video just showing off the different screens on the One X (720P) the Lumia 900 (Wvga) and the iPhone (retina display). Just a side note that if Nokia had released the L900 with a pentile display I would have burned down their factories and became an immediate droid boy- thankfully though they didn't and the Lumia preforms quite nicely.

Nokia’s Lumia 900 sales exceeded expectations!

Great news for Nokia, At&t & WP as a whole; At&ts Paul Roth recently commented on the sales of the Lumia 900 as

Nokia’s Lumia 900 sales have exceeded expectations.

In fact, sales have been so good some stores have sold out of the device—particularly the blue variety—by Tuesday evening, only the second day of general availability.

Nokia don't usually release any exact sales numbers before their quarterly earning reports; so we'll have to wait til Q2 to see exactly how well "Above Expectations" is- just as long as sales aren't going to be affected by the claimed to be disappointing Q1 sales.
